Over her career, Amara has served as director of communications for a fintech company, an $80 billion asset management firm, and a $6 billion global hedge fund firm, where she led media and public relations, reputation management, executive thought leadership, writing/content development, and acute crisis communications.
Amara also held senior positions at two distinguished public relations firms in New York City, advising well-known clients from M&A firms, investment banks, hedge funds, and trade organizations, to popular shoe brands and e-commerce sites. Earlier, Amara served in the communications offices of a member of the United States House of Representatives on Capitol Hill in DC and on a 2008 presidential campaign.
